She departed this life July 3, 2002 at Elk City at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 28 days. Anita taught school for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and attending her grandkids activities. Anita and N.G. Carter were united in marriage April 9, 1939 at Arnett, OK. On December 31, 1996, Anita and Edward King were married at Sentinel, OK. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Jack in 1973 and husbands N.G. Carter May 25, 1986 and Edward King December 6, 2001. She is survived by daughters; Joan Ridling and husband R.L. of Sentinel and Janet Grigg and husband Leon of Sentinel; daughter-in-law Margie Carter of Yukon, OK; two sisters, Necia Paulson of Auburn, CA and Sandra Cornett of Brandonburg, Kentucky; brother Dusty Rhodes of Clinton; granchildren Mykie Keffury and husband Tom, Monte Grigg, Greg Grigg, Leasa Beech, Craig Carter and wife Keri Sue, Kelly Carter, Rick Ridling and wife Kelly, Rusty and wife Dana, Shari Coody and husband Jack; great-grandchildren Hannah Grigg, Amanda Grigg, Logan Grigg, Kylan Simpson, Maggi Keffury, Bobby Keffury, Jaci Keffury, Cole Carter, Chelsea Carter, Lindsey Ridling, Riley Ridling, Rhett Ridling, Harli Ridling, Jessica Coody, and Jake Coody. Services were Saturday, July 6, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Sentinel. Interment followed at Sappington Cemetery in Cowden, OK. Services were under the direction of McClure Funeral Home of Sentinel. Rev. Norman Wasson, Rev. Keith Gillham and Rev. Darryl Moore officiated.
