::Shamrock Cemetery--Shamrock TX

Gerthie Velma Arnett

SHAMROCK - Gerthie Velma Arnett, 86, died Monday, Oct. 11, 1999.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Shamrock Cemetery 
with Howard Lynn Rhodes of Dimmitt, her nephew, officiating. Burial 
will be in Shamrock Cemetery by Wright Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Arnett was born in Washita County, Okla., and had lived around 
the Shamrock area for many years, moving to Shamrock in 1952. She had 
lived in Pampa for the last four years.

She married Alvin Arnett in 1929 at Butler, Okla. He died in 1970.

Survivors include a son, Arland Arnett of Amarillo; a daughter, Clara 
Achord of Pampa; two brothers, J.V. Rhodes of Carnegie, Okla., Archie 
Rhodes of Fritch; a sister, Elsie Hughes of Wheeler; five 
grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson.
