He passed away June 25, 2007 in his home in Cordell, Oklahoma at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 6 days. Bobby grew up south of Arnett, Oklahoma on the Canadian River. He joined the United States Air Force in December of 1951 where he served until October of 1971. During his time of service he was married to an Air Force Cryptologist JoEl Estelle (Stephenson) Bonser. They were married at Sherman, Texas on December 31, 1952. After his retirement from the service he settled with his family in Western Oklahoma. Bobby enjoyed reading, learning about history, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by parents, wife, one brother, one sister and a son. He is survived by his 5 children, Phyllis JoAnn Duke, Anadarko, Oklahoma, Lenda Diane Nance, Cordell, Oklahoma, Anita Joy Connally, Waxahachie, Texas, Robert Mehlon Bonser, Sandia, Texas, Valerie JoEl Bonser, Cordell, Oklahoma, 11 grandchildren, Brian Connally, Caleb Perkins, Amanda Servais, Travis Suttle, Sara Suttle, Jayson Bonser, Bailey Armstrong, Daniel Watkins, Jenna Duke, Clayton Bonser, and Robby Bonser; 8 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Betty Workman, Bea Williams and Sue Pond; 4 brothers, Bill Bonser, Dale Bonser, Bryan Bonser, Barney Bonser and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Friday, June 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Whinery- Savage Chapel officiated by Ray Smart. Burial was held at Silent Home Cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Whinery-Savage Funeral Service.
