Services were at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko, Okla., with the Rev. Ray Weathers officiating. Burial was in Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko by Smith-Hackney Funeral Home in Anadarko. Charles was born April 18, 1936, in Colony, Okla. Mr. Cannon had worked for Groendyke Transport from 1986 until he retired in July 2002. Survivors include his wife, Cindy; three daughters, Deborah Smith, Rhonda Leatherbury and Sherry Cannon, all Chickasha, Okla.; a son, Michael Cannon of Holloman Air Force Base, N.M.; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Gaylord Erwin Couch of Chickasha, Ralph Christie Cannon of Pharr, and Nuby Duane Cannon and Gayland David Cannon, both Norman, Okla.; and two sisters, Melba Hacker and Alta Ferris, both Norman, Okla.
