Private services will be held. Mr. Gunter was born Aug. 13, 1909 in Foss, Okla., the son of Daniel and Bettie Gunter. He married Irene "Peggy" Landing, who survives, in January of 1930 in Phoenix. Mr. Gunter moved to the Rogue Valley in 1929 and worked as a light industrial mechanic for Hubbard Wray and John Deere. He retired in 1978. He enjoyed, fishing, hunting and being outside. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 10 Crater Lake Ave., Medford or American Diabetes Association, 380 SE Spokane No. 110, Portland, OR, 97219. Survivors in addition to his wife include: sons Tommy Gunter of Medford; Juanita Lee of Medford and Betty Lea Farrar of Monrovia, Calif.; two sisters in Oklahoma;11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
