Carl was the son of George and Elizabeth (Horn) Hinz. He lived his entire life in rural Washita County and attended Skelley School. Carl was a farmer. Graveside services were held on Tuesday, July 9 at 11:00 a.m. at the Herold Mennonite Cemetery in Corn. He is prededed in death by his parents, sister: Elsie Schmidt and brother: Ted Hinz. He is survived by nephew: LaVern Schmidt and wife Ola Dean; nieces: Betty Smith, Florence Owens and husband Dean; great-nieces and nephews are Howard Schmidt, Greg Schmidt, Brian Shipp, Pattie Shipp, Monte Nickel, Cindy Dockins and Lori Burgess.
