She lived in Washita County all of her life, in the Port, Cordell, and Rocky communities. She was a member of the Church of the First Born in Rocky. She married Calvin Humphrey on August 26, 1943. She was a meticulous housekeeper. She loved her home, and her family. The Humphreys loved gospel music and were actively involved with the Washita County Gospel Singing Convention for many years. She owned Cordell Flower Boutique for several years and loved working with people and flowers. Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister, Margie Elston, and her husband. Survivors include her son Phil Humphrey and wife, Jill of Rocky; daughter, Karen Gray and husband, Leslie of Rocky, three brothers, Allen Diffendaffer and wife Lola, Don Diffendaffer and Wade Diffendaffer and wife Kathy, all of Rocky; nine grandchildren, Aaron and Ryan Humphrey, Jamae Gilbert, Courtney Kliewer, Cal Humphrey, Cade Humphrey, Carly and Lance McCuistion, Loni Gray and Whitney Gray,; five great grandchildren, Jordan Gilbert, Chase Kliewer, Judy Humphrey, Brody Humphrey, and Bailey McCuistion; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, at the Church of the First Born, with Howard Humphrey officiating. Interment, under the direction of McClure Funeral Home of Cordell, followed in the Lone Star Cemetery.
