Obituary: Electa Goodwin, Washita County OK 1941 Electa Williams Goodwin was the daughter of Felix Grundy Williams and Priscilla Griner. She was born near Quitman, Texas and lived there in childhood. At the age of fifteen years she was baptized into the Baptist Church. In 1881 she was married to Redan Goodwin of Bonham, Texas. To this union eleven children were born. In 1908 Mrs. Goodwin and her family moved to Terral, Oklahoma and later to Cordell where they lived for 31 years. She spent the past two years near Blanchard. Three children precede her in death. She is survived by her husband and eight children who were all present at her departure. The children left are: Mrs. Effie Davis, Mrs. Ruby Kenner and Goy Goodwin of Selma California; Mrs. Mae Chinnis, Mrs.Fannie Wilson, Johnie and Rayburn Goodwin of Blanchard and Mrs. Tom Houck of Mountain View, thrity five grandchildren and thirty four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Church of Christ Monday afternoon with J.W. Webb officiating. Burial was made with the Hartronft funeral directors in charge.
