All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Turlock Memorial Park--Turlock OK Gray, Doyle Owen DOYLE OWEN GRAY SEP. 2, 1932 - FEB. 17, 2007 Doyle Owen Gray, 74, died Feb. 17, 2007, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage. Mr. Gray was born Sept. 2, 1932, in Cordell, Okla., to Commadore and Pearl Gray. He graduated in 1952 from Turlock High School. He moved to Turlock in 1946 and then to Alaska in 1961. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 until 1956. He serviced B-52 bombers at Castle Air Force Base. He worked for PG&E in California, and Enstar Natural Gas from 1961 until his retirement in 1988. After retiring he drove pilot cars until 2001. Doyle enjoyed puttering around the cabin he built in Soldotna. His smoked fish is world- renowned. "Doyle was a kind, gentle, loving, generous, loyal individual who will be missed by his family and friends. He has touched the lives of many and will be remembered fondly. Doyle loved all of his grand- children, and felt especially close to Justin and Amber." He is survived by his wife, Karen Ford; daughters and sons- in-law, Dana and Terry Stoner of Anchorage, and Terry and Jim Wright of Willow; son, Randy Schell of Anchorage; grandchildren, Justin and Amber Stoner, Kari Ann Smith, Jackie and Haley Schell, Kristopher Schell, and Katrina Carpenter; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Bobbie Sherr, Byrdena Theis, and Barbara Keller; brothers, Don and Durell Gray; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Blendine and Betty; brother, Dorman; and son, Gary. Visitation will be held from 10am to Noon, Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007 at Turlock Funeral Home with a funeral service following at 2:00 PM also at the chapel. Interment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Services have been held in Alaska.
