All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ------------------------------------------------------------------ Obit for Joy Mosburg Funeral services for Joy Carolyn Mosburg, age 64 of Weatherford, Oklahoma, were held January 20, 2003 at the First Baptist Church in Weatherford with Jon Goeringer and Sandy Shepherd officiating. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery at Weatherford, Oklahoma under the direction of the Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford, Oklahoma. She was born on April 4, 1939 northwest of Custer City, the daughter of Henry Wayne and Ethra Frances (Fisher) Renison. She died January 16, 2003, at her home. Reared in the Custer City area, she attended Antioch and Independence Schools before graduating from Custer City High School in 1956. On December 22, 1955 she married Leon Mosburg in Thomas, and they made their home on the family farm where she lived until the time of her death. Joy worked alongside her husband in the family farming operation and was an Honorary Master Gardener. Survivors include her husband, Leon, of their home; three sons, Darrell Mosburg and his wife, Debbie of Custer City, Don Mosburg of Weatherford, Kelly Mosburg and his wife, Dawna, of Clinton; two daughters, Lita Giblet and her husband, Brad, of Hydro, Jackie Carder and her husband, Barry, of Weatherford; 14 grandchildren; a brother, Billy Renison of Custer City; two sisters-in-law, Alta Porter and Opal Cornelson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, along with her parents, was a sister-in-law, Georgeina Renison. The family suggests that those who desire may make memorial contributions in her honor to the charity of their choice or plant a tree in her honor.
