Jones, 90, of Amarillo died Thursday, March 25, 2004. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in First Baptist Church with Dr. Winfred Moore, pastor emeritus, officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive. Mrs. Jones was born and raised in Foss, Okla., and was a graduate of Foss High School. She also graduated from Draughon's Business School in Oklahoma City. She married Tom C. Jones on June 27, 1937, in Clinton, Okla. She had been a resident of Amarillo since 1946. She was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 50 years and taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1981; and a son, Thomas Rhett Jones in 1961. Survivors include two daughters, Peggy Palitza and husband, Fabian, of Amarillo and Dr. Mary Jane Weil and husband, Mike, of Fort Collins, Colo.; a sister, Helen Griffin of Columbia, Mo.; four grandchildren, Anne Marie Palitza, Sally Palitza, Robin Roby and Alex Roby; and two great-grandchildren, Neve Roby and Deke Roby.
