All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery--Phoenix AZ Latricia Carlene Laine Latricia Carlene Laine, 76, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2006. She was born September 12, 1930 in Rocky, Oklahoma to Carl and Shirley Hobbs. She moved to Phoenix in 1937 from Oklahoma. Latricia went to Wilson Grade School and later to North Phoenix High School. While at North High, she attained the rank of Lieutenant Cadet Colonel (top rank) in the R.O.T.C. program and received an art scholarship to A.S.U., during this time she became best friends with Betty Laine, who later became her sister-in-law. Betty introduced Latricia to her brother, John Laine. Latricia and John wed on August 6, 1948. They shared their golden anniversity on August 6, 1998 and spent their anniversity at the Phoenician Resort. She was involved in producing some of the first micro chips at the Phoenix Motorola Plant. She was the President of the Madison School District PTA and a Girls Blue Bird Leader. Above all, she was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, introducing her children and grandchildren to sports, camping, art and enjoying the holidays. She knew Jesus as her Savior and we believe she is with her Heavenly Father right now, as the Holy Bible states. Latricia is predeceased by her son, Jack David Laine and grandson, Jason Michael Laine. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John R. S. Laine, brother Max B. (Patti) Hobbs, sister Shirley (Mike) Kozel, daughter LaDonna (Richard) Coplan, sons John M. (Jenny) Laine and Jim Laine, 11 incredible grandchildren and 14 fantastic great-grandchildren. Family and friends may visit from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, September 24th and are invited to attend. A celebration of Latricia's life on Monday, September 25th at 10:00 A.M. Both visitation and funeral will be at A. L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 West Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ. Interment will follow immediately at Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery.
