Services were held Monday, April 29, 2002 at Mazyka & Son Funeral Home in Chicago. Entombment was at Acacia Park Mausoleum. LeRoy was a former coach and teacher at Dill City High School during 1950-1951. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Navy basketball team. LeRoy coached the Dill City American Legion Team in 1951 to the State Finals at Enid, and the High School team to the regional play-offs, also in 1951. LeRoy is survived by his wife; Jane of the home, son, Ronnie, and daughters, Doniece and Debbie; sisters, Freda Schutes and Fern Short or Weatherford; brothers, Bob Wright of Las Cruces, New Mexico; Don Wright of Jonesboro, Arkansas; 9 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
