Born in 1872 in Springfield, Ohio, he was married on August 22, 1892 at Salina, Kansas to Mary Musefelt who survives him and they removed to this area in 1904 settling near Berlin. He was a member of the Methodist church. Other survivors include sons Nicholas of Foss and daughter-in-law Grace, with whom he made his home. Fred of Culver City, California and Henry of Souix Falls, S.D. Daughters Mrs. Nellie Walts, Ft. Worth, Texas and Mrs. Edith Wilson, Wichita, Kans. A brother N.S. Nemsgern, Pottersville, Mo., and sisters Mrs. Emma Wilson, Pottersville, Mo., Mrs. Lena Musefelt, Elk City and fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 1944 from the chapel of the Savage Funeral Home, with interment in Berlin cemetery, Berlin, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Reverend George Parkhurst, pastor of the Methodist church of Elk City, officiating.
