"Buck" Osborn, 84, of Amarillo died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Amarillo First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. K. Ray McDowell officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Osborn was born in Rocky, Okla., on May 10, 1919. He married Jewel Gustafson on Dec. 8, 1951, in Santa Rosa, N.M. He worked for Haliburton for 24 years and then was an oil field consultant before working at Lake Tanglewood as a security guard. He was a member of the VFW, the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association and Amarillo First Church of the Nazarene. He loved to visit people, never went anywhere he didn't know someone and never met a stranger. He enjoyed playing golf and also playing with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sharon Simmons and husband, Jackie, of Taos, N.M.; two sons, Tommy Osborn of Perryton and Rocky Osborn of Anderson, S.C.; eight grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. The family suggests memorials be to the Amarillo Senior Citizens Association, 1311 S. Tyler St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
