Sprunger Romanie M. Spunger was born May 4, 1928, to Albert L and Edna Lehman, and died April 14, 2002. She married Rev. John Sprunger on June 7, 1951, in Berne, Ind. She was a primary elementary teacher and a co-laborer with her husband in the ministry for 43 years. They spent 13 years working and ministering in the Washita County area. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, at the First Mennonite Church in Berne. She was preceded in death by her husband, John; father, Albert, and one brother, Adrian. She is survived by three sons, Rev. Timothy Sprunger of Berne, Rev. Robert Sprunger of New Haven, Ind., and Thomas Sprunger of Berne; her mother, Edna; three brothers Maynard, Claren, and Doyle, all of Berne; and foster sister, Mrs. Lloyd (Kay) Miller of Kodak, Tenn.
