Interment was under the direction of McClure Funeral Home and followed in Sharon Cemetery. Rosa Lee Sturgeon, daughter of Henry Thomas and Maggie Landonie (Stewart) Kelsoe, was born December 6, 1902 near Cloud Chief, Indian Territory. She departed this life February 23, 2003 in Yukon, Oklahoma at the age of 100 years, 2 months and 17 days. Mrs. Sturgeon moved from the Lake Valley Community where she was a member of the Sharon Baptist Church, to the Oklahoma City area in 1961. Rosa enjoyed sewing, singing, praying and studying the Bible and gardening as her health permitted. She was united in marriage to Lawrence E. Sturgeon on November 5, 1922 at Hobart, Oklahoma. To this union four children were born. Survivors include two daughters, Bernice Berry and husband, Raymond of Ponca City, Neva Sanders and husband Jack of Yukon, 1 brother, Leonard Kelsoe of Arlington, Texas, 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
