"Herb" Satterfield, 72, died Tuesday, June 29, 1999. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery in Amarillo with the Rev. Trey Robertson, pastor of First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch, officiating. Arrangements are by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Mr. Satterfield was born in Port, Okla., moved to Amarillo in 1948 then moved to Fritch in 1976. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of Fritch. For 321/2 years, he was in security for Mason and Hanger at the Pantex Plant. Mr. Satterfield also was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 731 in Amarillo, the Khiva Temple and was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Amarillo. During World War II, he served in the Navy. He married Sue Daniels in 1950 at Amarillo. Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Leslie Howard of Amarillo and Sydney Couch of Edmond, Okla.; and three grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to the Building Fund at First Southern Baptist Church in Fritch or a favorite charity.
