Katie Smith

FRIONA - Katie Smith, 79, died Friday, Oct. 22, 1999.Graveside 
services will be at 4 p.m. today in Friona Cemetery with the Rev. 
Herman Krauel of Friona officiating. Arrangements are by Ellis-
Blackwell Funeral Home of Friona.Mrs. Smith was born in Firth, Neb., 
and moved to Parmer County in 1947 from Rocky, Okla. She was a member 
of the Rebekah Lodge and the Union Congregational Church.Her first 
marriage was to Melvin Allen who died in 1948. In 1954, she married 
Denver Smith of Friona who died in 1989. Her third marriage was in 
1998 to Charlie Meyer of Clovis, N.M., who died in June. She also was 
preceded in death by two sons, Stirling Wayne Allen in 1974, and an 
infant. Survivors include a son, Randol Allen of Friona and two 
grandchildren.

Mrs. Smith was born in Firth, Neb., and moved to Parmer County in
