(1992) The longtime resident was 79. Graveside services are scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Noble IOOF Cemetery with Curtis Fore officiating. Services are under the direction of Mayes Funeral Directors. Born at Cloud Chief (Oklahoma) on May 16, 1913, she was the daughter of Winston W. and Annie Mae Goodwin Chinnis. The family later moved to Norman where she graduated from high school. She married Harvey Underwood at Anadarko on July 1, 1933. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1983. An Active member of Norman Senior Citizens Center, Mrs. Underwood was instrumental in the organization of the center's Saturday night dances, often playing the piano during the dances. Mrs. Underwood is survived by two daughters, Sara Ann Rollins of Norman and Marcia Sue Tanner of Tulsa; two sisters, Berniece Lamirand of Norman and Avus Fore of Terrell, Texas; 5 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
