::Llano Cemetery--Amarillo TX

Joan B. Williams

Joan B. Williams, 75, of Amarillo died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Llano Cemetery East 
with Paul Sneed officiating. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral 
Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.

Mrs. Williams was born in Sentinel, Okla. Her family moved to 
Amarillo in 1939. She graduated from Amarillo High in 1946 and 
attended Southern Methodist University. She married Dale in Amarillo 
on Sept. 4, 1948. She was a member of Junior League of Amarillo and 
was past president of Northwest Texas Hospital Auxiliary. She was a 
member of Central Church of Christ since 1951.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alicia Brown on Sept. 28, 
2001, and a brother, Bill Byers.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Karen Williams-Rubenstein 
of Amarillo; and niece, Scala D. Byers of Dallas.

The family suggests memorials be to High Plains Children's Home, P.O. 
Box, 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114.
