with Marshall Funeral Home.

Ruth Maxine Baxter, 79, Alva

Ruth Maxine Baxter, daughter of the late Alfred and Thelma (Drake) Lord, 
was born December 28, 1925, in Alva, Oklahoma, and passed away August 31, 
2005, at Share Convalescent Home in Alva, at the age of 79 years, 8 
months, and 3 days.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny, on 
January 28, 2004.

Ruth is survived by her children, Dan Baxter and his wife, Carolyn of 
Selmer, Tennessee, Beverly Baxter of Kansas City, Kansas, Darrell Baxter 
and his wife, Sharon of Birmingham, Alabama, Merle Baxter and his wife, 
Jackie, of Alva, and Mike Baxter and his wife, Julie, of Nashville, 
Tennessee; and one sister-in-law, Naomi Stites of Canon City, Colorado.

Also surviving are her grandchildren, John and Leah Baxter of Broken 
Arrow, Clint Baxter and Lauren Baxter, both of Jenks, Jillian Smith of 
Tulsa, Phillip Baxter of Birmingham, Alabama, Stephanie Baxter of 
Birmingham, Alabama, Brandon Baxter and Ryan Baxter, both of Nashville, 
Tennessee; two great grandchildren, Landon and Chase Baxter of Broken 
Arrow, several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2005, at the Alva 
Assembly of God with Rev. Mark Bagley and Rev. Andrew Strait officiating. 
Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of 
Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Alva 
Assembly of God Church or the charity of your choice. Remembrances may be
