James Raymond Buckland, 90, Avard

James Raymond Buckland, 90, son of the late Edward E. and Josie (Vaughn) 
Buckland, was born May 31, 1913, in Fair Valley, Oklahoma, and passed from 
this life on February 10, 2004.

Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, 
on January 3, 2001, and one son, Kelly Ray Buckland on August 16, 1975.

Raymond is survived by his son, Ben Buckland, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 
five grandchildren, Amy Johnson and her husband, Bill, of Jacksonville, 
Florida, Marae Leggs of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Pfc. B. J. Buckland now 
serving the the 82nd Airborne in Iraq, Travis Collins of Colorado, and 
Brandon Collins of Colorado; two great grandchildren, Bryon Scott Johnson 
of Jacksonville, Florida, and Maranda Victoria Leggs of Oklahoma City; 
other relatives; a host of friends; and one particularly special friend, 
Frieda Graves.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 13, 2004, at the Avard 
Christian Church with Rev. Larry Cornforth officiating. Interment will be 
in the Memorial Hill Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home 
of Waynoka.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Memorial 
Hill Cemetery.
