All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Rose Hill Cemetery--OKC OK Alva Review Courier 6 Nov 2005 'Dee' Wadia Cohlmia, 77, and Kamell Frank Cohlmia, 88, Waynoka "Dee" Wadia Cohlmia, 77, daughter of the late Fallah and Wazna (Hazar) Barkett, was born Jan. 28, 1928, at Henryetta and passed away Nov. 3, 2005, at Alva. Kamell Cohlmia, 88, son of the late Frank and Amaz (Mady) Cohlmia, was born Aug. 28, 1917, at May and passed away Nov. 3, 2005, at Alva. They died as a result of a car accident. Besides her parents, Dee was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Robert Barkett; and three sisters, Jamelia Harris, Florene Smith, and Lucille Barkett. Besides his parents, Kamell was preceded in death by two brothers, Mitchell Cohlmia and Dr. Don Cohlmia; and two sisters, Margaret Gabriel and Lorine Mady. They are survived by three daughters, Gayla Cohlmia Purdum and her husband, Gary, of Oklahoma City, Stevie Cohlmia Taylor and her husband, Tom, of Oklahoma City, and Michelle Cohlmia Nelson and her husband, Wade, of Overland Park, Kan.; three grandchildren, Simone Cohlmia Taylor of Oklahoma, Kamell Cohlmia (K. C.) Purdum of Oklahoma City, and Walker Cohlmia Nelson of Overland Park, Kan. Dee is also survived by her twin brother, Woody Barkett of Tulsa; two sisters, Lorise Barkett Cohlmia of Wichita and Bertha Runyon of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and her special niece Susie Johnson and her children, Sasha Johnson Ferreira, and Brie Johnson. Kamell is also survived by one sister, Leenda Cohlmia Razook of Cherokee; and a special niece, Judy Razook Lehmbeck. They both leave a wonderful legacy of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss them very much. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Nov. 7 at the Waynoka First Baptist Church with Rev. David Shaw, pastor of the First Baptist Church and Mike Marsalis, minister of the Northside Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be at 4 p.m. Nov. 7 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City with Father Constantine Nasr officiating. Interment is under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Waynoka Sunshine Dinner, the Waynoka Historical Society, or the St. Elijah Orthodox Christian Church Flowers That Do Not Wither Fund.
