All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Amarillo Globe News 3 Feb 1998 Irene Mae Eck BORGER - Irene Mae Eck, 87, of Tucson, Ariz., a former Borger-area resident, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 1998. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trinity Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Scott Cundiff, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in the Garden of Devotion at Westlawn Memorial Park by Minton / Chatwell Funeral Directors. Mrs. Eck was born in Manson, Ark. She grew up in Canadian. She married Marshall Eck in 1942 at Canadian. They lived in Waynoka, Okla., for 13 years before moving to Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God. She was the organist at the Fritch Church of the Nazarene for many years. Mrs. Eck was preceded in death by her husband in 1981. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Dennis of Tucson; a sister, Elsie Duniven of Dumas; a brother, Arthur Lee Laughry of Bartlesville, Okla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
