IRIS FRIEZE SERVICES SATURDAY ALVA - Mrs. Iris FRIEZE, 70, died Thursday afternoon in a local hospital. She was born June 26, 1900, in Avard and had lived her entire life in Woods County. She was a member of the Friends Church and was married to Gordon FRIEZE in Cherokee on Aug. 16, 1922. He preceded her in death in 1965. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Junita BREWER, Mrs. Fleta WARREN, both of Alva, Mrs. JoAnne KASSIK, Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Mary HURLEY, Denver, Colo; three sons, Charles M. (Bud), Whitewater, Kan., James M. (Jim), Wichita, Kan., Jack of Almeda, Calif. A son, Bill preceded her in death October 4, 1969. She had 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle CARGILE, Pampa, Tex., Mrs. Marvel PIERCE, Torrence, Calif., and Mrs. Iris VAN PELT, Alva. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Wharton Funeral Chapel with Rev. John RETHERFORD officiating. Burial will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery.
