Frieze, 79, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, June 17, 1997. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. David Evans, pastor, officiating. Additional services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Wharton Funeral Home Chapel at Alva, Okla. Burial will be in Capron Cemetery at Capron, Okla. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Frieze was born in Freedom, Okla., and had lived in Amarillo for 51 years. She retired as the cafeteria manager for the Amarillo Independent School District. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She married Berton D. Frieze in 1941 at Alva. He died in 1994. Survivors include two sons, Ed Frieze of Amarillo and Ray Frieze of Orlando, Fla.; and five grandchildren. The family will be at 4709 Oregon Trail. They suggest memorials be to the Trinity Baptist Church Building Fund. ========= Amarillo Globe News 21 Jun 1997 Hazel C. Jones CLAYTON, N.M. - Hazel C. Jones, 91, died Thursday, June 19, 1997. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Clayton Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Ed Murphy, pastor of Clayton Church of God, officiating. Arrangements are by Hass Funeral Directors. Ms. Jones was born in Yale, Payne County, Okla. She moved to New Mexico with her parents in 1907 and homesteaded south of Clayton in the New Home community. She attended school at New Home and Mansker and was a 1927 graduate of Clayton High School. She also was a graduate of Highland University in Las Vegas. She taught in several Union County schools as well as other schools in New Mexico from 1927 until retiring in 1971. She moved to Clovis and lived there until moving to Clayton in 1990. Ms. Jones was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Clovis. She was preceded in death by a son, Gale Church, in 1990; and a daughter, Wanda Harris, in 1987.
