Ok A mother at rest. Died, sunday night, september 3, 1916 at her home, 514 Choctaw, Mrs. Cassandra Hoagland, aged 73 years and 2 days. Mrs. Hoagland had been in failing health for the past year with little hopes of recovery. on saturday morning she had a stroke of paralysis from which she never regained consciousness. she has been a resident of alva for many years and was loved and respected by all who knew her. her daughter, Mrs. George Cameron has been with her for the past few months and al that loving hands could do was done to administer to her comfort. Mrs. Hoagland was the mother of twelve children, seven of whom survive her, four sons and three daughters. all were at the funeral. funeral services were held at the home. Rev. Netherton of the Baptist Church opened the service with prayer after which the Woman's Relief Corps rendered their beautiful burial service.
