Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Don Kinder, pastor, and the Rev. Billy Holland, pastor of First Christian Church of Quanah, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Mrs. Heare was born June 30, 1928, in Waynoka, Okla., to James and Eva White. She married Melvin McCuistion on June 1, 1945, in Pampa. Together they farmed and ranched until his death in 1996. On March 21, 1998, she married Bernie Heare and they lived in both San Rafael, Calif., and Miami. She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer at several nursing homes. She was active in Eastern Star and Supper Club. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Miami and was a former member of the First Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Loren White. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Melinda Holland of Quanah; two sons, Jerry McCuistion of Austin and Jim McCuistion of Miami; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and three stepdaughters, Sara Zykanov, Mary Amadio and Nelda Braver. The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church of Miami. The family will be at 120 Summit St. in Miami.
