Services pending with Marshall Funeral Home in Alva. ========= Alva Review Courier 5 Aug 2005 Robert Earl "Bob" Keele, 75, Alva Robert Earl "Bob" Keele, son of the late Earl Clayton and Mayme Marie (Pearson) Keele, was born March 5, 1930, at Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and passed away August 3, 2005, at Enid, Oklahoma, at the age of 75 years, 4 months, and 28 days. Bob attended school in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He served in the United States Navy from 1947 to 1954. On February 22, 1963, he was united in marriage to Mattie Moore at Oklahoma City where he worked at Truckers Village. They then moved to Kiowa and worked for Jenkinson Propane. In 1969, they moved to Alva and ran the Alva APCO for 10 years, then started Keele Enterprises which included a used furniture store and Big K Taxi. He was a member of the Alva Assembly of God Church and the Moose Lodge in Alva. He greatly enjoyed his grandkids who contributed, along with the rest of the family, in his hobby of collecting horses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Clayton Keele and Mayme Marie Meier; three brothers, Richard Keele, Michael Keele, and Paul Keele; and one grandson, Charles Mumme, III. Bob is survived by his wife, Mattie, of Alva, four daughters, Tammy Bailey of Alva, Jannetta Wanzer and her husband, Charles, of Newalla, Oklahoma, Yvonne Rutledge and her husband, Mark, of Tampa, Florida, and Robin Lewis and her husband, Matthew, of Alva; 12 grandchildren, Lee and Konrad Mumme, of Oklahoma City, Matthew Bailey of Alva, Brandy, Billy, and Charles Wanzer of Newalla, Robert, Lindsey, Mattie and Sophia Rutledge of Tampa, Fla., and Dylan and Drake Lewis of Alva; three great grandchildren, Jason, Summer, and Ethan Mumme of Norman. Also surviving are five brothers, Dale Keele and his wife, Kay, of Broken Arrow, Earl "Sonny" Keele and his wife, Polly, of Stigler, Henry Keele and his wife, Vickie, of Porter, Daniel Keele and his wife, Dee Ann, of Boynton, and Valace Keele of Claremore; two sisters, Margaret Cole and her husband, Larry, of Porter, and Mary Ann Hetherington and her husband, Al, of Coweta; one sister-in-law, Marie Keele of Oklahoma City; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2005, at the Alva Assembly of God Church with Pastor Mark Bagley and Andrew Strait officiating. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetic Foundation.
