Moore, was born 26 miles northwest of Alva on Oct. 31, 1923, and passed on to heaven on March 17, 2004. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. March 23 in the Alva First Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Bob Brown, Rev. Billy Moore and Rev. Arlene Burrow. Interment will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery with Wharton Funeral Chapel of Alva in charge of arrangements. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Beryl, Dale, and infant twins Marvin and Mitchell. He is survived by his wife of the home, Geneva; his daughters and their husbands, Arlene and Dallas Burrow of Mulvane, Kan., LouAnn Moore and her husband Cliff Williams of Wichita, Kan., a son and his wife, Billy and Donna Moore of Tulsa; four grandchildren and their spouses, Joshua and Jena Burrow of Derby, Kan., Jacob Burrow of Mulvane, Kan., Jennifer and Tommy Martin of St. Louis, Mo., Christy and Nick Gieseking of Tulsa; one great grandson, Tommy Martin Jr. of St. Louis, Mo.; a niece, Linda Slatton; a nephew Roger Moore of Lubbock, Texas; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Moore of Lubbock, Texas; sister-in-laws and their husbands, Leveta and Earl Dotterer of Woodward, Elma and Jim Melton of Wichita, Kan., Alvina and Bill Murray of Aline, Oklahoma, Evelyn and Willis Kramp of Alva, Jeanene Hofen of Alva, Everetta and Bill Hall of Indianapolis, Ind., Josephine and Bill Ricks of Cherokee, Alfreda and J.D. Reynolds of Cimarron, Kan.; two brothers-in-law and their wives, Henry Lee and Lynda Hofen of Cherokee, Max and Linda Hofen of Waynoka; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He battled leukemia and emphysema many years.
