Jeanne Francis (Reynolds) Martin, 83, Lufkin, Texas

Funeral services for Jeanne Francis (Reynolds) Martin, 83, of Lufkin, 
Texas, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2004 in the Carroway-
Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Harold Hancock officiating. Interment 
will follow in Broaddus Cemetery.

Mrs. Martin was born on Oct. 24, 1920 in Newton County, Missouri, the 
daughter of Augusta (Banks) and Frank E. Reynolds and died on Monday, 
March 15, 2004 at her home. She had resided in Lufkin since 1993 and 
formerly resided in Rolla, Missouri. While in Rolla, she was a member and 
officer of the Mad Hatters group, where she and her group enjoyed making 
hats. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and member of the Timberland Drive 
Church of Christ. She was also a local officer and member of AARP.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lynn L. and Marione Martin 
of Alva; daughter and son-in-law, Judy J. and Harlan Doering of 
Hutchinson, Kan.; daughter, Tara Calhoun of Norman; son, Kurt R. Martin of 
Portland, Ore.; daughter and son-in-law, Marta A. and Bob Ward of Lufkin, 
Texas; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Rummens 
and Margaret Cobb; brother, Carl Reynolds, all of California; a number of 
nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, Luther W. Martin on May 
24, 1996.

Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home, Lufkin, Texas, is in charge of 
arrangements.
