Alva Courier Review 20 Nov 2003 William Rawson Rogers, 85, Alva William Rawson Rogers, 85, son of Jessie Peddie (Saunder) and Samson H. Rogers, was born Oct. 10, 1918, in Buena Vista, Colo., and passed away on Nov. 8, 2003, in the Alva Share Medical Center. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rena Mae; an infant grandson; four brothers; and three sisters. Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth of the home; his daughters and their husbands, Betty Jean and Joel Flory of Centennial, Colo., and Beverly Ann and and David Cox of Alva; a step-son, Richard Botta of Oregon; a step-daughter, Sabrina Botta of California; seven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Contributions may be made in his memory of the Northwestern Foundation or Share Medical Center. At his request his body was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. ======== Alva Courier Review 3 Dec 2003 William Rawson Rogers, 85, Alva Funeral services for William Rawson Rogers, 85, will be held at the Wharton Funeral Chapel Friday, Dec. 5, 2003 at 2 p.m. with Paul Kessinger and Dr. Paul Nighswonger officiating. Interment will be in the V.A. Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Rena Mae, an infant grandson, his parents, three sisters and four brothers.
