Obituary - William Arthur Scott

William Arthur Scott was born in Pennsylvania, June 7, 1867, and departed 
this life, February 28, 1948 at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 21 days...
He was married to Ella Walls, October 13, 1897, who preceded him in death 
October 1, 1939. Burial will be March 04, in the Waynoka City Cemetery.

He moved to Beaver County, Oklahoma, from Kansas in 1904 and settled on a 
homestead where he lived for several years, moving from there to Woods 
County where, he has resided ever since.

Mr. Scott was married to his second wife, Mrs. Ophelia B. Holland, May 5, 
1941 who survives him.

He leaves to mourn his departure, besides the wife, three sons Lloyd of St. 
Joseph, Louisiana, Claud of ElKhart, Kansas, Carl of Tulsa; four daughters, 
Mrs. Alma Williams of Logan, Mrs. Vivian Gilbert of Elk City, Mrs. Eva Cornell 
of Fort Worth, Texas, Mrs. Maud Casteel of Clayton, Washington; three brothers, 
George of Canada, Walter of Santa Ana, California, Emery of Waynoka; two sisters, 
Lillie May and husband Marion Brown of Lewiston, Idaho, Mrs. Linn Liggett of 
Kansas City, Missouri;  twenty-nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.


Genealogy Note: William Arthur Scott is the son of Julia Ann Bailey and 
William Merritt Scott.

Other family member not listed in the obituary are, Edgar A. Scott, Agnes 
Viola Scott and husband Isaac R. Wood. Mable Ettie Scott and husband George 
Nicholas Liggett, Ethelyn Pearl Scott and husband James Simpson Jr. Liggett.
