J Q Sewell, 80, Alva

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Rhonda 
Martin.

John is survived by his wife, Betty, of Alva; one son, Larry Sewell of 
Clayton, New Mexico; two daughters, Lynda Martin and her husband, Rhodes, 
of Alva, and Dina Sappenfield and her husband, Jack, of Washington, Okla.; 
and one brother, Calvin Sewell of Clayton, N.M.

Also surviving are four grandsons, Michal Martin and his wife, Marcia, of 
Alva, Cary Sappenfield and his wife, Laura, of Cashion, Joel Sappenfield 
and his wife, Candi, of Springdale, Ark., and Clay Sewell and his wife, 
Leslie, of Ruidoso, N.M.; nine great grandchildren; other relatives and 
friends.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Jan. 3 at the Kenton Methodist Church in 
Kenton, Okla. with Rev. Jack Sappenfield officiating. He was cremated and 
will be interred in the Kenton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the 
direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to KIROS.
