Amy Ruth Shellenberger, 92, Alva

Amy Ruth Shellenberger, daughter of the late Albert Cornelius and Ella Mae 
(Criswell) Oliver, was born March 31, 1912, in Buffalo, Oklahoma, and 
passed away September 22, 2004 at Share Medical Center in Alva, Oklahoma, 
at the age of 92 years, 5 months, and 21 days.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth 
Lamkin; her husband, Jim Shellenberger, one son-in-law, Bob Shelite; one 
brother, Albert Oliver, two sisters, Mary Strickland and Margaret Woodard, 
and one grandson, Jeffrey Bolar.

Ruth is survived by three sons, Bill Lamkin and his wife, Barbara, of 
Alva, Tom Lamkin and his wife, Karolyn, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and 
Jon Lamkin and his wife, Gloria, of Lufkin, Texas; three daughters, 
Marjorie Hansard of Alva, Lorinda Shelite of Enid, Oklahoma, and Elaine 
Roach and her husband, Bill, of Grapevine, Texas; one step-son, Vernon 
Shellenberger of Whiteface, Texas; one sister, Joyce Thurman of 
Bartlesville, Oklahoma; 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; 3 great 
great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2004, at the 
First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Judye Pistole officiating. Interment 
will be in the Alva Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall 
Funeral Home of Alva.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Share 
Medical Center Hospice program.
