All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Waynoka Municipal Cemetery--Waynoka OK Alva Review Courier 3 Nov 2004 Charlie Raymond (Pinky) Sampson, 85, Waynoka Charlie Raymond (Pinky) Sampson, 85, son of the late Gust William and Agnes (Lenze) Sampson, was born September 5, 1919, at Haskew, in Woodward County, Oklahoma; and passed away November 1, 2004, at Enid, Oklahoma. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Oscar, Lawrence, Carl, and Herman Sampson, and one grandson, Jason Conaway. Charlie is survived by his wife, Velma, of Waynoka; three daughters, Doris Smiley and her husband, Sidney, of Waynoka, Carolyn Kysar and her husband, Jerry, of Amarillo, Texas, and Charlene Bixler and her husband, Bill, of Waynoka; five grandchildren, Glynis Cave and her husband, Ted, of Amarillo, Deidre Stoddard and her husband, Jody, of Amarillo, Scott Smiley and his wife, Crista, of Waynoka, Lance Bixler of Waynoka, and Mindy Bixler of Houston; five great grandchildren, Tempest and Trey Cave, Haley and Morgan Stoddard, and Erin Smiley of Waynoka; two twin cousins who were raised as siblings, Clarence (Corky) Sampson of Waynoka and Viola Jones of Lovilia, Iowa; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 2004, at the Waynoka First Baptist Church with Pastor David Shaw officiating. Interment will be in the Waynoka Municipal Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Waynoka. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Waynoka EMTs.
