All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Alva Municipal Cemetery--Alva OK Alva Review Courier 1 Dec 2004 Fred Veley, 85 Fred Veley, 85, services pending with Wharton Funeral Chapel in Alva. ========= Alva Review Courier 2 Dec 2004 Fred Veley, 85, Lawton Funeral Services for Fred Veley, 85, will be in the Wharton Funeral Chapel Friday, December 3, 2004 at 2 p.m. with Reverend Woody Hamon, Pastor Alva Otterbein United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in the Alva Municipal Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Fred, son of Edna O. (Walker) and Ernest K. Veley was born on May 21, 1919 west of Aline, Oklahoma. He passed away at the Lawton Comanche County Hospital on November 29, 2004. He was married to Clara Gertrude Moore on January 24, 1945 at Enid, Oklahoma. To their marriage, four daughters, Faylene, Esther, Paula and Shirley were born. Mrs. Veley passed away on October 18, 1998. Mr. Veley was preceded in death by a daughter Faylene Cline on December 13, 1998, a grandson Clifford Alan Veley, his parents, two sisters, Florence Dupus and Bessie Smith, six brothers, Clifford, George, Cecil, Harold, Harvey and Richard. Fred is survived by three daughters, Esther and her husband Larry Dillman of Lewiston, Idaho, Paula Hickum and Shirley Veley both of Lawton; ten grandchildren and their spouses, Tina and Shon Nelthropp, Jackie Lynn Parminter, Kathy Ann Rock, Kimberly Parminter, Wilber Cline, Larry Jr. and Christie Dillman, Gary Dillman, Heather Springer, Veronica Johnson and Kyle and Stacy Veley, fourteen great-grand children; two great, great grandsons; a sister Vola Nicholson of Alva; a sister-in-law Esther Moore of Medicine Lodge, Kansas; a number nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
