She passed away July 4, 1962 at the age of 93 years, 6 months, 14 days. She was united in marriage to Jessie Leisure Vandruff on August 31, 1890 at Corydon, Iowa. The Vandruff family moved to a farm southeast of Alva, Oklahoma. In 1899 they moved to a farm near Lambert, Oklahoma. In 1919 Mrs. Vandruff lived in Carmen, and in 1945 moved to Cherokee where she made her home until death. Mrs. Vandruff was converted and united with the Methodist church when she was 18 years old. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Cherokee, Oklahoma. She is survived by four daughters; Mrs. Lillie Davis of Cherokee, Okla., Mrs. Elizabeth Foust of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Dora Fox of Alva, Okla., Mrs. Ruth Miller of Ventura, Calif., and five sons; Clarence Vandruff of Alva, Okla., Ben and Jess of Long Beach, and George and Chester of Cherokee, Okla; thirty-six grandchildren, sixty-seven great- grandchildren and seventeen great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Frances Moore of Bell Gardens, Calif., four brothers; Adam Smith of Promise City, Iowa, Joseph Smith of Seymour, Iowa, Harry Smith of Buffalo, Okla., and Nester Smith of Liberal, Kans. Her husband and three of their children preceded her in death.
