Wauneta Irene Woods, 78, Alva

Wauneta Irene Woods, 78, daughter of Dora Belle (Johnson) and John William 
Broomhall, was born northwest of Alva on May 10, 1926. She passed away at 
the Woodward Regional Hospital on Oct. 11, 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son-in-law Doyle Nusser.

Wauneta is survived by her husband, Kenneth of the home; a daughter, Jean 
Ann Nusser of Alva; two sons, Gary Bevis and his wife Betty of Alva and 
David Woods of Edmond; four grandchildren and their spouses, Darrin and 
Cheri Bevis of Liberal, Kan., Brian Bevis of Alva, Carissa and Pete Ortiz 
of Alva, Derek and Nicole Nusser of Alva; three great grandsons, Jacoby 
Merrill, Ethan and Logan Nusser; two sisters, Olive Mae Dooling of 
Marquette, Kan., and Gladys Faye and her husband Robert Spangler of 
California; a sister-in-law, Mitzi Frey of Cordell; a brother-in-law and 
his wife, Jerry and Teresa Woods of Enid; a number of nieces, nephews, 
other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 15, at the Alva Town & Country 
Christian Church with Paul Cole, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in 
the Alva Municipal Cemetery. Wharton Funeral Chapel of Alva is in charge 
of arrangements.

Contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of the donor's 
choice.
