'Ed' Wilson, 87, Alva Funeral Services for Edward E. 'Ed' Wilson, 87, will be at the Alva Assembly of God Church, Thursday, July 1, 2004, at 10 a.m. with Reverend Mark Bagley, Pastor, and Reverend Gary Jensen,Pastor Steamboat Christian Center Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment follows in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Buffalo, at 2:30 p.m. Wharton Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Edward Eugene, son of Emery and Melissa Cole Wilson was born on January 3, 1917 in Wichita, Kansas. He passed away at the Alva Beadles Nursing Home on June 28, 2004. Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Opal Gray and Gladys Ortiz, a brother, Robert Wilson. Ed is survived by his two daughters and their husbands, Velma and Joe Jensen of Alva and Lorene and Merlin Phillips of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren, their spouses and families: Missionaries, JoVonda and Matt Merrell, Caleb, Aaron and Hannah of Greystone, Ireland; Pastor Rod and Kelly Jensen, Kaila, Marissa, Bryce, Emily, Josiah, Lydia, Nathanael, Philip and Quincy of Buffalo, Mo.; Reverend Gary and Mickey Jensen Chandler, Chelsea and Chloe of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; Staff Sgt. Marty and Cindy Phillips, Kimberly and Dakota of Altus Air Force Base; and Dr. Justin and Angie Phillips and Ethan of Tecumseh. A brother and his wife, Richard and Alpha Wilson of Woodward; a host of nieces and nephews who lovingly called him 'Uncle Shorty', other relatives, friends and Staff at Beadles Nursing Home.
