Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in 6th Street Church of Christ with Leon Talley, minister, and Eugene Bandy of Friona officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mr. Boggess was born in Mutual, Okla. He had lived in Friona since 1928, moving from Mutual. He graduated from Friona High School in 1936. He married Doris Watson in 1939 at Clovis, N.M. He was a retired farmer and a member of 6th Street Church of Christ, where he was an elder and deacon. Survivors include his wife; a son, Joe Boggess of Whitefish, Mont.; a daughter, Robbie Rucker of Midland; three sisters, Juanita Reed and Geneva Stanley, both of Friona, and Irene Shirley of Greensboro, N.C.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
