Corbitt, 91, of Amarillo died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Fort Supply Baptist Church, 219 Sheridan, in Fort Supply, Okla., with the Rev. Bill Tindell and the Rev. Tim Mascarenas officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Woodward, Okla. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St. Mr. Corbitt married Laoma Whitson on Dec. 24, 1931, in Hollis, Okla. He was a charter member of Fort Supply Baptist Church and head usher for many years. He moved to San Francisco, working in shipyards as a welder during World War II. He moved to Hollis in 1945 where he worked in the cotton-oil mill operating large engines. He then moved to Fort Supply in 1953 and was an employee supervisor at Western State Hospital, retiring in 1975. He was preceded in death by a sister; his twin brother; and another brother. Survivors include his wife; a daughter-in-law, Frances Corbitt of Amarillo; a son, Elbert Lee Corbitt of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Michelle Miskimen and husband, Cory; and a great-grandson, Nicholas Miskimen. The family suggests memorials be to Fort Supply Baptist Church, 219 Sheridan, Fort Supply, OK 73841. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 8, 2002
