All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Cremated Rex Milton Fike Rex Milton Fike, 60, of Amarillo, died Friday, Oct. 17, 1997. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Liberty Church with the Rev. Jay Roberson, pastor, officiating. Cremation arrangements were by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Fike was born in Woodward, Okla. He graduated from Perryton High School in 1955 and from West Texas State University in 1959. He received a master's degree in language from the University of Texas at Austin. He taught foreign language at West Texas and at the Shriners Institute in Kerrville. He was an eligibility specialist for the Texas Department of Human Resources before retiring. Mr. Fike had been a resident of Amarillo for two months. Survivors include two brothers, George Fike of Amarillo and David Fike of Optima, Okla.; and a sister, Susan Fike of Perryton. The body will not be available for viewing.
