::Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery--Bakersfield CA

The Bakersfield Californian 1 January 2004

John H. Hoffert 4-20-1929 - 12-29-2003

Graveside services will be held on Friday, January 2, at 2 p.m. at 
Greenlawn Southwest Cemetery.

John was born in Fargo, Oklahoma and lived in Woodward, Oklahoma 
until joining the Air Force during the Korean War where he was 
stationed in England.  He loved his family very much.  He is survived 
by Edna, his wife, of 50 years; his three daughters and their 
families, Lynda and Robert Champlin, Joshua and Jacob; Carol Walkden, 
Christopher and Erin, Sarah and Matthew, Lisa and Kent Kellogg, 
Benjamin and John; great grandchildren, Kylee, Daniel, and Caitlyn.  
Also his sister, Adelee Noris of Oklahoma.

John worked for the Kern High School District as a drivers training 
teacher.  

He enjoyed volunteer work in the library at Longfellow Elementary 
School.  

John loved camping and traveling in his fifth wheel trailer.
