Pipkin John E. Pipkin SPEARMAN - John E. Pipkin, 84, died Wednesday, May 29, 2002. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Russ Gibbs and the Rev. Patrick Six officiating. Burial will be in Hansford Cemetery by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home. Mr. Pipkin drove a butane truck for R.E. Lee Oil Co. from 1940-1964. He began farming in 1964 and continued until his death. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Spearman. Survivors include his wife, Edith; three daughters, Yvonda Stokes of Amarillo, Pauline Mayes of Sparta, N.J., and Betty Clifford-Ingersoll of Ontario, Canada; a son, Richard Pipkin of Spearman; five sisters, Edith Smith of Spearman, Malolah Fullbright of Amarillo, Betty Graves and Ouida Harbour, both of Perryton, and Elma Miller of Woodward, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church, 123 S. Bernice St., Spearman, TX 79081; or a favorite charity. Amarillo Globe-News, May 30, 2002
