Joyce Dean Smith Miller

PAMPA - Joyce Dean Smith Miller, 71, of Woodward, Okla., a former 
longtime Pampa resident, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Fairview Cemetery. 
Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors.

Mrs. Miller was born in Carnegie, Okla. She married Homer C. Miller 
in 1944 at Carnegie. They moved to Pampa in 1948. Mr. Miller died in 
1994.

Mrs. Miller worked as a payroll clerk for Cabot Corp. and IRI for 24 
years before retiring in 1982. She moved to Woodward in 1997.

Survivors include a son, Ken Miller of Woodward; a sister, Helen 
Ledford of Yukon, Okla.; two grandchildren; and three great-
grandchildren.

The family requests memorials be to the Pampa Optimist Club, 601 E. 
Craven, Pampa, Texas 79065.

The body will be available for viewing all day today and from 8 a.m. 
to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family will be at 1918 Dogwood after the services.
