All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Mildred Ogle Napa Valley Register Thursday, February 01, 2007 NAPA - Mildred Alice Ogle passed away Jan. 28, 2007, in Napa. She was born Feb. 9, 1912, in Mooreland, Okla., to Norman Burton and Laura Belle Ames. Her family was one of the pioneering families of Mooreland before Oklahoma became a state. After attending some college, she married her college sweetheart, Clair Edward Ogle, on June 21, 1931, in Mooreland, Okla. Mildred and Clair were able to travel to wonderful and exotic places during their active tours of duty in the Air Force; they were stationed in Japan, Iceland, Delaware and retired from Travis Air Force Base, where her husband, then a colonel, was the base engineer. After retiring, they moved to Palmdale. They loved to travel so much they traveled around the world and spent time touring Europe in a Volkswagen camper for months. In the late '70s and early '80s, they moved to Oroville, where they enjoyed one of their favorite hobbies - fishing. Mildred was a member of Napa Valley Genealogical Society. Mildred is survived by son John D. and wife Gwen Ogle of Albuquerque, N.M.; daughter-in-law Sandra Ogle of Napa; grandsons Rory of New Mexico, Kirk of Colorado, Wade and wife Aster of San Jose, Michael and wife Jennifer of Fremont; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Edward Ogle; and son Richard J. Ogle. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Napa Valley, 414 South Jefferson St., Napa, CA 94559-4515. Services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Chapel of Richard Pierce Funeral Service, 1660 Silverado Trail, Napa.
