All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Osborne, Esther Ann Esther Ann Osborne, known to those who loved her as Ann, Mom, Mum, Grammy and Grandma, left us on April 22, 2007. She was preceded in death by Grady Osborne, her husband of 47 years, and Alex Osborne, her son. Julia Estherann Haller was born on January 19, 1926 to Fred and Harriet Haller in Kansas. Soon after, the family moved to a farm near Mooreland, Oklahoma. Her early school years were spent in a one- room country school. She then graduated from Mooreland High School at age 16. She began college in pursuit of a journalism degree, but switched to nursing. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Registered Nursing degree. While working as an industrial nurse at U. S. Rubber Plant in Borger, Texas, a friend talked her into going on a blind date with a Gary Cooper ringer. Within one month, Ann and Alexander Grady Osborne were married on March 18, 1950. They had 3 children: Alexander Grady, Jr., Jeffrey Lynn, and Marla Ann. Jeff and his wife, Cynthia Ann, live in Austin, Texas and have 2 adult daughters, Trenda Joy and Margaret Ann. Marla and Kurt Criss live in Elko, Nevada with their 2 children, Annika Alexandra, 7, and Kelby Eugene, 4. The family moved to Stinnett, Texas in 1960, with Ann holding various Registered Nursing positions, until she decided to return to school in pursuit of a teaching degree. In 1969, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Education with certification to teach elementary education, high school English and History. In 1974, Ann, Grady and Marla moved to Stavanger, Norway for Grady's job with Phillips Petroleum, Co. While in Norway, Ann and Grady became avid square dancers, and Ann passionately pursued oil painting. Upon Grady's retirement in 1984, Ann and Grady moved to Bonita Springs, Florida to catch up on sunshine and warmth after ten years in Norway. They later moved to Lakeland, Florida where they resided until Grady's death in 1997. Shortly after, Ann moved to Sun Lakes, Arizona to be closer to family. In Sun Lakes, Ann enjoyed card and domino games, walking, pool exercising, and attending Sun Lakes Community Church. Memorial Services will be held Wednesday, April 25 at 11:00 a. m. at Sun Lakes Chapel, 9240 N. Sun Lakes Blvd., in Sun Lakes.
