Mary Elizabeth Sanders

PLAINVIEW - Mary Elizabeth Sanders, 75, died Monday, May 5, 1997.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the First Baptist Church 
Family Life Chapel with Dr. Travis Hart, pastor of First Baptist 
Church, officiating. Burial will be at Plainview Memorial Park. 
Arrangements are by Lemons Funeral Home.

Mrs. Sanders was born in Clarendon and attended Clarendon schools.

She married Dell Sanders in 1939 at Clarendon. He died in 1993 at 
Plainview.

After her marriage, she moved to Borger. In 1942, she moved to 
Woodward, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1943 and to Plainview in 
1944. She moved to Pampa in 1960 and to Tulia in 1965.

She worked at Piggly Wiggly and was a rural mail carrier. She was 
active in bowling leagues. She moved to Halfway in 1987. She was a 
member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Dell Young of Halfway; two sons, 
Jim Sanders of San Angelo, and Jack Sanders of Amarillo; two sisters, 
Frankye Murcheski of Plainview, and Viles Ward of Hereford; six 
grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
